Durwell Cool + Zen Cool + Zen is a natural product for calming horses and promoting well-being. It contains Magnesium Bisglycinate, L-Theanine and Ashwagandha. Cool + Zen promotes relaxation without sedation. It can be used every day to have your horse relaxed. An extra scoop can be used during horse shows and events or during transportation where animals often have heightened anxiety.

Magnesium is an extremely important mineral for health. It is very important for the muscular and nervous systems, bones, water and energy management and metabolism. It is used up quickly during heavy training and stress. Horses lose magnesium through sweat and urine. Magnesium is responsible for transmitting signals to the muscles. It is also responsible for relaxing the muscles. Not enough magnesium can induce anxiety. Typically, such horses may spook easily, become irritable, or are uncomfortable and nervous.
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is an adaptogenic herb, meaning that it adapts to the horse’s experience and balances the mood. It serves as an antidepressant and has been used extensively in humans and animals. It can alleviate the impact of stressful situations by reducing the cortisol response. L-theanine is an amino acid derivative, not commonly found in the diet but is contained in green tea. It increases the level of serotonin and dopamine to promote calm and relaxation, without sedation. It is highly effective against anxiety.
Recommended use: A horse supplement for enhancing calm and relaxation along with physical recovery. Recommended Dose: Give 1 - 3 scoops daily for a 500 Kg horse, 1/2 – 1 scoops for a pony. Cool + Zen can be mixed with your horse's daily feed one or twice per day. 1 measuring scoop is equal to approximately 4.2 g. If the horse has heightened stress or is at a horse show you may wish to use the higher dose (up to 3 scoops) for extra calming.
